Résumé : |
Mathematical analysis is a vast field related to the
notions of function, derivative and integral. At the present
time, it embraces a more restricted number of domains:
differential equations (ordinary or with partial derivatives),
integral equations, differential geometry, functions of
complex variables, etc.
In this handout, I propose to fill some known gaps and
expose the fundamental methods of the theory of functions
of a complex variable.
This handout is intended for students of the second
mathematics and physics licenses as well as those who are
studying tech nical engineering. The reader is assumed to know
the elements of undergraduate mathematical analysis.
This handout is organized into nine topics, each topic
deals with a part of complex analysis, starting with the
algebra of complex numbers until the last topic which deals
with the use of the residue theorem in the calculation of
improper integrals. This handout contains many examples of
applications of function theory to physical problems.
I dedicate this work to the entire university community and to my
students. |
