This book ts the renuit of many years of tenching experience gainad by ths author during courses and supervised work in slectrioity and mngnetism, 1t has bsen written with the aim of presenting basic concepts and principles in the clearcat and simplest possible form, without being imprecise. This book covers the entire tirat-year undergraduate alectricity and inagnetism program in the ST and SM fields. The objectives of this book are:
‘To make the subject accessible to students from different flelds, taking into account their different backgrounds.
e Make physics attractive by showing the relevance and interest of the topic with examples of modern applications in science and technology as well ns everyday life.

e ‘Teach students a writing style and instill à problem-solving method through detailed solutions of examples and exercises.
Book structure Each chapter of this book contains: Tutorial
Each chapter begins with & tutorial section packed with illustrations and achemes. In this
part, essential laws and formulss are highlighted on 8 gray background to draw attention to their importance.
Strategy
With the aim of developing the readers autonomy, we have included problem-soiving strategies in this book. These strategies teach the reader how to tacke specific problems by following specific steps.
