Résumé : This book serves as a textbook for an introductory course in metric spaces for undergraduate or graduate students. The goal is to present the basics of metric spaces in a natural and intuitive way and encourage students to think geometrically while actively participating in the learning of this subject. In this book, the authors illustrated the strategy of the proofs of various theorems that motivate readers to complete them on their own. Bits of pertinent history are infused in the text, including brief biographies of some of the central players in the development of metric spaces. The textbook is divided into seven chapters that contain the main materials on metric spaces; namely, introductory concepts, completeness, compactness, connectedness, continuous functions and metric fixed point theorems with applications.
Some of the noteworthy features of this book include
- Diagrammatic illustrations that encourage readers to think geometrically
- Focus on systematic strategy to generate ideas for the proofs of theorems
- A wealth of remarks, observations along with a variety of exercises
- Historical notes and brief biographies appearing throughout the textAn Introduction to Metric Spaces [texte imprimé] / Dhananjay Gopal, Auteur ; Aniruddha Deshmukh, Auteur ; Ranadive, Abhay S., Auteur ; Shubham Yadav, Auteur . - New York : CRC press, 2021 . - 302 p. : couv:ill. ; 25cm.

Medical decision supportIndex. décimale : 004 Informatique Résumé : This book by Rihit Raja explores the critical intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and two-dimensional and three-dimensional medical image processing. The work presents an in-depth analysis of advanced AI techniques applied to solving complex challenges in medical imaging, such as organ segmentation, lesion detection, and tissue characterization.
The author methodically examines various deep neural network architectures tailored for medical image processing, with emphasis on convolutional neural networks and their specialized variants for volumetric 3D data. Clinical case studies illustrate the practical application of these technologies across diverse imaging modalities, including MRI, CT scanning, ultrasound, and radiography.
Particular attention is given to technical aspects such as data preprocessing, augmentation of limited datasets, and strategies to overcome challenges specific to medical data, including heterogeneity and ethical considerations related to their use. The book also addresses recent advances in model interpretability and explainable AI, which are essential for the clinical adoption of these technologies.
Intended for researchers, biomedical engineers, and healthcare professionals working at the interface between technology and medicine, this volume serves as a comprehensive resource on the state-of-the-art applications of artificial intelligence in contemporary medical image analysis and interpretation.ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING IN 2D/3D MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING [texte imprimé] / Rohit, Raja, Auteur ; Sandeep Kumar, Auteur ; Shilpa Rani, Auteur . - New York : CRC press, 2021 . - 196p. : couv:ill. ; 30cm.

Nonlinear dynamicsIndex. décimale : 519.8 Recherche opérationnelle Résumé : This comprehensive volume by Guanghui Wen, Wenwu Yu, Peijun Wang, and Yuezu Lv addresses the cutting-edge field of cooperative control for complex network systems characterized by dynamic topologies. The book systematically explores theoretical frameworks and practical approaches for controlling networks where the connection patterns between nodes evolve over time.
The authors present rigorous mathematical foundations for analyzing network stability, controllability, and performance in dynamic environments. Beginning with fundamentals of graph theory and network modeling, the text progresses to advanced topics including consensus algorithms, formation control, and synchronization protocols specifically designed for networks with time-varying structures.
A significant portion of the work is dedicated to addressing practical challenges such as communication constraints, time delays, and uncertainty in dynamic network environments. The book incorporates both continuous-time and discrete-time system frameworks, providing comprehensive coverage of different modeling approaches relevant to various application domains.
The theoretical developments are complemented by illustrative case studies from diverse fields including robotic swarms, power grids, transportation networks, and social systems. These examples demonstrate how the presented methodologies can be implemented to solve real-world coordination and control problems.
This text serves as an invaluable resource for researchers, graduate students, and practitioners in control engineering, applied mathematics, and complex systems science seeking to understand and implement cooperative control strategies in networks with evolving interaction patterns.RéessayerClaude peut faire des erreurs.
